Part-Time House Manager & Housekeeper (English or French speaking)

We are looking for a reliable, organized, proactive and detail-oriented House Manager & Housekeeper to help us manage our home and take some of the day-to-day household responsibilities off our plate. This is a hybrid role that combines full household cleaning with home organization, laundry, errands, meal prep and general household management. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating a clean, organized and well-run home and who, over time, can become familiar enough with our household to anticipate what needs to be done without always needing a detailed task list. Core Responsibilities Cleaning & Home Care

• Regular cleaning of the entire home
• Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and general tidying
• Changing bed linens and towels
• Keeping the home consistently clean, tidy and organized
• Periodic deeper-cleaning tasks as needed

Laundry & Clothing Care

• Washing, drying and folding household laundry
• Putting clothing and linens away
• Steaming and/or ironing clothing
• Managing dry cleaning, including drop-off and pick-up
• Keeping closets and clothing areas organized

Home Organization

• Organizing and maintaining closets, drawers and storage areas
• Keeping the pantry and refrigerator clean and organized
• Rotating and disposing of expired food
• Tackling occasional organization and decluttering projects
• Helping with seasonal organization and household projects

Groceries & Household Supplies

• Grocery shopping and/or managing grocery orders
• Keeping track of household staples
• Ensuring cleaning products, laundry detergent, toiletries, paper products and other household supplies remain stocked
• Putting groceries and household purchases away

Basic Meal & Lunch Prep

• Simple meal preparation, such as preparing batches of chicken, rice, vegetables and other basics
• Washing/chopping ingredients and other simple food prep
• Preparing children’s school lunches a couple of times per week
• Keeping the refrigerator organized and making it easier for the family to prepare meals throughout the week

Errands & Household Management

• Dry cleaning, returns, pickups and other nearby errands
• Receiving and organizing household deliveries
• Helping prepare the household before travel
• Packing and unpacking suitcases
• Assisting with occasional special projects
• Holiday organization, including purchasing and wrapping gifts when needed

Additional Responsibilities We’d Love Depending on the candidate’s experience, comfort level and availability, we would love someone who could also help with:

• School drop-offs and/or pickups a couple of days per week
• Children’s homework or after-school organization
• Additional family errands and logistics
• Preparing the home before guests or events
• Taking ownership of other household tasks as they arise

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can eventually take ownership of the home rather than simply wait for a list of tasks. For example, noticing that we’re running low on detergent, that the pantry needs reorganizing, that dry cleaning needs to be picked up or that a closet could use attention and taking initiative to handle it. Schedule Approximately 2-3 days per week, 4-6 hours per day, with some flexibility around the exact schedule. We are open to discussing additional hours depending on the candidate and the range of responsibilities they are comfortable taking on. Compensation We are happy to offer competitive compensation and pay above a traditional housekeeping rate for someone who has the experience and ability to take on broader household-management responsibilities.
