Expert Privacy Access Specialist Role

Become a key player in privacy management as a Privacy and Access Specialist at BC Housing in Burnaby, BC. This position requires expertise in handling complex FOI requests and supporting privacy initiatives. As a specialist in this role, you will report to the Director of Privacy & Information Services. Your main duties will include managing information access requests, advising on privacy matters, and performing privacy impact assessments. You'll also create training resources and handle sensitive information requests in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex information requests and eDiscovery
• Conduct evaluations for privacy impact assessments
• Respond effectively to privacy breaches and inquiries
• Create training modules and raise staff awareness
• Develop internal policies and compliance reports

• Diploma in relevant fields such as Legal or Information Management
• Experience with FOI requests and client service environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Deep understanding of privacy laws and IT security
• Criminal record check is necessary
