Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor at Redpath Sugar

Step into a vital role with Redpath Sugar Ltd. in Toronto as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor. You will lead a dedicated team, focusing on preventive maintenance and operational efficiency from Thursday to Sunday. In this pivotal position, you will oversee maintenance operations for conveyor systems, pumps, and centrifugal machines. With at least five years of mechanical maintenance experience, you will proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies. A degree in mechanical engineering is preferred, alongside supervisory skills relevant to the maintenance field. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily maintenance tasks for optimal machinery performance
- Train staff on safety protocols and operational efficiency
- Approve maintenance work orders after thorough review
- Ensure compliance with quality and GMP standards
- Manage relationships with external vendors for maintenance needs
- At least 5 years in mechanical maintenance roles
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Proficiency in mechanical systems and PLC
- SAP knowledge is advantageous
- Experience in food manufacturing is a plus
