Job Responsibility:

Coordinator of Finance

Wage: $50,000 - $55,000 Annual Salary, dependent upon experience

Kwadacha Nation (Tsek'ene) is commonly known as Fort Ware and is located approximately 570 km north of Prince George, at the confluence of the Fox, Kwadacha, and Finlay rivers in the Rocky Mountain Trench. Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Services, the Finance Coordinator will oversee day-to-day financial services for Kwadacha Nation and the Kwadacha Education Society, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reimbursement, bank deposits, credit card statements, and oversee all Kwadacha Community Store financial activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform full life-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities
• Monitor cash flow and ensure bills are paid on time
• Review and confirm approval of invoices with appropriate Directors before issuing payment
• Perform regular financial analysis, reviewing the accuracy of all payables and receivables
• Reimburse all approved expenses and claims for Kwadacha Nation and KES team members
• Supply members with either a cheque or EFT for approved Travel claims in a timely manner
• Prepare, arrange and complete bank deposits weekly and/or as needed
• Monitor credit cards, review statements and submit payment prior to the due date
• Follow-up with vendors on outstanding receivables in a manner that is polite but persistent
• Provide assistance, ongoing communication, and guidance to vendors regarding financial services
• Keep thorough and accurate documentation of all financial services in a safe, secure location

Qualifications

• Relevant experience, post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License, clear Driver's Abstract, and willingness to travel within Kwadacha
