Location: Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada Description:
The City of Port Moody has an opportunity for an I.S. Service Desk Specialist who takes initiative and is an excellent team player to join our team on a temporary full-time basis. This position reports to the I.S. Infrastructure Supervisor and will respond to day-to-day service desk requests, providing support and technical assistance to staff. This position will :
- Respond to service desk requests, providing hardware, software and networking support
- Allocate new hardware, software and infrastructure components
- Create user accounts and maintain security groups
- Acquire, review and change existing hardware and software configurations
- Develop efficient procedures to manage repetitive tasks
- Create and update technical and end user documentation
- Assist with data backups
- Deploy and program telephony handsets
- Troubleshoot multifunction printers
- Maintain and deploy mobile devices
Qualifications :
- Two year technology diploma with a focus on networking technology and computing infrastructure
- Minimum 2 -3 years of related experience working with computer systems in a service desk role
- Knowledge of IP networking, IP telephony, Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows desktops and peripherals
- Demonstrated familiarity with current technological developments and trends
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
