Base Pay Range

CA$85,000.00/yr - CA$105,000.00/yr

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 & 20% annual bonus!

Automatic eligibility to participate in the Company’s stock option plan after six (6) months of continuous employment

Location: This is a 5-day on-site role based in Mississauga, Ontario.

Role Overview

BoomerangFX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including full-cycle accounting and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). You will play a key role in guiding our financial strategy and ensuring the integrity of our financial operations. Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance and trends.
• Manage accounting controls and tools (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Ceridian, Float) and identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business.
• Conduct financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and expenses.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
• Provide financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and other stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize financial processes.

Must-Haves

• 5-7 years of experience in full-cycle accounting and controllership.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation must be completed.
• Proven experience in a financial role, with a strong background in full-cycle accounting and FP&A, U.S GAAP experience.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
