Shape the future of animation as a Senior Motion Editor at ILM Vancouver. Enjoy a hybrid work model while focusing on high-end film and video game projects from our Coal Harbour studio.
This role invites candidates with rich experience in motion capture and animation to perfect character interactions. You'll apply retargeting techniques, fine-tune actor performances, and mentor junior colleagues. Collaborate effectively while maintaining a high standard of work quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute motion transfer with precision and accuracy
• Enhance performance through non-destructive edits
• Refine character and prop interactions dynamically
• Add depth with finger and body animation adjustments
• Elevate junior team members through support and feedback
Requirements:
• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Animation
• Familiarity with tools like Maya, Blender, or MotionBuilder
• Solid experience in high-quality film VFX
• Thorough understanding of animation fundamentals
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
