Build Solutions Engineering at Paramount Commerce

Drive innovation as the first dedicated Solutions Engineer at Paramount Commerce, shaping the technical landscape of payment solutions for Canada’s fintech sector. This unique hybrid opportunity allows you to establish processes critical for successful integrations. In your role, reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you’ll facilitate the connection between technical capabilities and commercial goals. You will lead technical discussions in critical sales conversations while developing solutions that cater to diverse payment and settlement models. Your influence will build a foundation for a scalable Solutions Engineering function. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document technical engagement criteria
- Participate in strategic sales to close deals with technical certainty
- Create structured solution templates by vertical
- Collaborate with implementation teams for smooth handoffs
- Collect and analyze friction points for product improvement
- 7 to 10+ years in a technical sales or Solutions Engineering role
- Extensive knowledge of payment solutions, including Interac and EFT
- Experience working directly with merchant engineering teams
- Proven ability to navigate complex technical discussions
- Strong documentation and communication skills
