The Dental Receptionist will support a general and pediatric dentistry practice, reporting to the practice owner. This role will provide welcoming front-office support, coordinate patient care and treatment plans, and manage communication through phone, email, text, and the online portal.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage patient appointments.
• Complete patient check-in and support a welcoming office experience.
• Verify dental insurance coverage and benefits.
• Provide billing support and manage accounts receivable activities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health records.
• Manage phone, email, text, and online portal communications.
• Coordinate treatment plans and support treatment coordination.
• Process referrals and manage referral-related activities.
• Conduct recall management and follow-up.
• Order and monitor office supplies.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in dental reception.
• Certificate in dental administration or medical office administration.
• Experience with dental insurance verification and medical billing.
• Proficiency with appointment scheduling software and electronic health records.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with ABELDent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
