Business Development Manager

Sadfish is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help grow the company's service business.

The ideal candidate should be ambitious, creative and results-oriented. You will be responsible for crafting a sales plan, developing and maintaining a healthy pipeline and consistently delivering results. The candidate will report directly to the company's managing partner.

The candidate must have experience in the animation industry, and come armed with their own contact list of potential clients including producers, studios, networks and more.

Responsibilities:

• Generating business within the North American animation industry.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with lead generation activities, client meetings, trade shows, presentations, etc
• Work collaboratively with the production teams
• Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with our clients and prospects
• Own the sales process from start to finish
• Identify emerging markets and market trends while staying up to date on industry developments
• Develop and share regular reporting and plans with the executive team

Requirements 

• You have 2+ years of Sales/Business Development experience
• You have a successful track record as an individual sales contributor that consistently meets and exceeds targets
• You excel working independently and within a collaborative environment
• You demonstrate the ability to communicate, present and influence people
• You are a self-starter
• You possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• An existing network of contacts in the animation industry is required

Contract

This is currently a freelance contract, focused on sales. Please note, in order to qualify the following must apply to you:

• Position to start October 2026 
• Based in Canada or the USA
• Have an existing network of contacts in the animation industry
