As the EHS Advisor for Aecon's partnership on the Darlington New Nuclear Project, you will champion safety initiatives and ensure adherence to health regulations. This role involves training, monitoring safety metrics, and fostering a proactive safety culture among all employees. Your expertise will play a vital role in the success of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and support safety and environmental management strategies
• Train project staff regarding health and safety requirements
• Track safety statistics and manage return-to-work cases
• Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committees
• Conduct workplace inspections and recommend improvements
Requirements:
• CHSO or CRSP designation essential
• Minimum 5 years of experience in nuclear industry safety
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Experience in emergency response planning
• Ability to handle physical requirements of the job
