WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Design detailed mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and validate results through engineering calculations and sound engineering principles.
Conduct stress, fatigue, thermal, and tolerance analyses to ensure safe, reliable designs.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvements.
Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
Participate in design reviews and present technical recommendations.
Ensure all work complies with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineering team members as required.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Use your mechanical design expertise to develop innovative solutions for industrial or heavy equipment applications.
Apply your SolidWorks experience to produce accurate 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
Demonstrate your ability to perform engineering calculations and validate simulation results through sound engineering principles.
Bring strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to complex mechanical design challenges.
Contribute to a collaborative engineering team through your effective communication and technical expertise.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
Registered, or eligible to register, as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT); progress toward P.Eng. is considered an asset.
Previous experience designing heavy equipment, industrial machinery, mining equipment, or mobile equipment is considered an asset.
Engineers with strong design fundamentals and mechanical aptitude, including recent graduates with exceptional academic performance, are encouraged to apply.
