Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer

GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Location: Toronto / North Bay, Ontario


TRS Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure, energy, and resource sector projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to technically challenging assignments.



Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute geotechnical and hydrogeological site investigations.
• Perform engineering analyses related to slope stability, foundations, and earthworks.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Support construction oversight and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
• Support mining, energy, and resource development projects.



Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering.
• Eligible for Professional Engineer registration in a Canadian province.
• Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation design.
• Experience supporting mining, energy, or resource development projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel for field assignments within Canada and internationally.
