SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST
Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Technologist to join our engineering team. You'll play a key role in developing practical, cost-effective mechanical system designs, supporting both internal and external customers, and contributing to the successful delivery of custom-built systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical design solutions based on sound engineering practices and project requirements
- Create and revise 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
- Specify appropriate components to meet design and performance specifications
- Conduct engineering calculations to support mechanical design work
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all regulatory and customer requirements
- Support the assembly and commissioning of custom systems both in-house and at customer sites
- Provide ongoing technical support to shop floor teams and customers
- Maintain organized design documentation and follow company standards for file management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures
- Adapt to changing project needs and take initiative to solve technical challenges
What We're Looking For
- Diploma in Mechnical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design within a multidisciplinary environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, fabrication, and manufacturing practices
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid understanding of detailing standards and documentation best practices
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite commissioning
- Able to wear personal protective equipment as required
