Director, Infrastructure Maintenance for Rail

Aecon is hiring an Infrastructure Maintenance Director to lead maintenance operations for a light rail project in Toronto. Drive infrastructural efficiency and safety across complex systems. This role within the Urban Transportation Solutions group demands robust leadership overseeing all aspects of maintenance for rail facilities, including underground stations and tunnels. You’ll be accountable for lifecycle planning, managing maintenance teams, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations while leading project goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Directly lead maintenance efforts for heavy rail infrastructure
- Establish effective lifecycle and renewal maintenance strategies
- Act during service disruptions and emergencies
- Mentor supervisors and technical teams
- Monitor KPIs for performance and cost efficiency
- Over 10 years of rail or transit maintenance experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Demonstrated leadership in safety-compliant environments
- Experience with managing diverse teams in maintenance
- Familiarity with rail safety standards in North America
