We are currently seeking a  COOKS to join our dynamic team at dynamic team at COAST Restaurant on Alberni Street. CATCH. COOK. EAT. A true west coast dining experience.

Reporting to the Chef, the COOK is responsible for safely preparing dishes required for a full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate should be motivated by an appetite for food and developing knowledge of various cooking techniques.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· FOODSAFE certification is an asset

· 3-5 years in a similar role with 2-3 years on hot line along with fryer and pans experience

· Strong knife skills and workable knowledge of kitchen equipment

· Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions

· Energetic with a passion for food and a positive outlook

· Able to follow oral and written instructions · Experience as a line cook – grilling, frying, sautéing, chopping, etc.

· Likes to work as part of a team in a high-volume restaurant

· Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight

· Ability to stand for long periods of time
