We are expanding our tile and grout cleaning services and seeking an experienced Tile Setter to help establish and grow our new tile repair and installation division. This position offers the opportunity to be a foundational member of a growing team, applying your skills to a variety of residential and commercial restoration and renovation projects. The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping the future of this service line while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.

Job Location:

• Based in Edmonton, AB
• The position requires travel to various locations in the Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta area.
• Company Vehicle provided for day-to-day operations

Wage:

• $37.00-$38.00 per hour (salary increases as per company policy)

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Education: Red Seal Trade Certification (Tilesetter), an asset
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional tile-setting experience

Own Equipment/Tools: Must own professional tile-setting tools and equipment, steel-toed safety boots, Safety Glasses/Goggles, and Safety Gear.

Additional Requirements: Must be able and willing to obtain a driver’s license before commencing employment. Must provide a clean driving record. Criminal Record Check may be required for work on some Client sites.

Duties:

• Measure, mark, and prepare surfaces for tile installation
• Install ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, mosaic, glass, quartz, natural stone, and large-format slab tile to TCNA Standards and manufacturer specifications
• Lay tile on floors, walls, kitchens, bathrooms, showers, backsplashes, staircases, and commercial spaces
• Perform book-matched slab installations and install luxury feature walls
• Install advanced tile layouts, including herringbone, chevron, Versailles, geometric patterns, and custom feature walls
• Cut and shape tile using rail saws, wet saws, grinders, and specialty cutting equipment
• Prepare and level surfaces using self-levelling compounds, uncoupling membranes, waterproofing systems, and crack-isolation products
• Install curbless showers, steam rooms, heated flooring systems, and linear drain systems
• Perform precision mitre cuts, edge finishing, polishing, and seamless transitions
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, and layout plans
• Prepare rough sketches and layout plans to determine tile placement, measurements and material requirements and quantities.
• Provide quotations for customers and assist management in planning and scheduling projects.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and industry installation standards
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Assist in training, mentoring and supervising apprentices and less experienced workers as required
