Expected Start Date: TBD Union: HSAS Facility: Jim Pattison Children's Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Unit - 1 Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physician Assistant Degree $51.102 to $62.5 Travel Required: Yes Job : Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a Physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions, and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset
Education
- Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC
Licenses
- Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
- Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification)
- Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or
- Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or
