We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Room Coordinator to support plant and equipment reliability through effective spare parts inventory management at our Dartmouth facility. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, kitting, and restocking inventory. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Accounting, the Stock Room Coordinator will maintain inventory accuracy, support maintenance activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Stock Room Coordinator will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient workflows for stock management and spare parts availability, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational optimization.
• Identify and ensure the availability of critical spare parts.
• Establish inventory controls and maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts, obsolete part removal, and non-moving part reviews.
• Manage processes for returning, restocking, and coordinating repairable parts to maintain inventory accuracy and availability.
• Maintain and optimize CMMS data, including Bills of Material (BOMs), to improve inventory accuracy, organization, and visibility of spare parts.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance team to improve parts management processes.
• Document parts receiving and inspection processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Implement systems for kitting, staging, and delivering materials required for planned work orders.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to storeroom activities, including requisitions, procurement, receiving, storage, distribution, returns, deliveries, shipping, and obsolescence.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly labeled storeroom using LEAN methodologies.
• Develop and deliver training programs for new employees and annual refresher training on storeroom access and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures to support plant goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Restrict storeroom access to authorized personnel only.
• Prepare and analyze reports related to storeroom activities.
• Utilize strong interpersonal and leadership skills to resolve issues and support a positive work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in storerooms, including handling mechanical and electrical parts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use hand carts and dollies, and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Dependable, task-oriented, and self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications

• LEAN training or certification with relevant practical experience.
• Mechanical and/or electrical experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
