Assistant Front End Manager

Job Responsibility:

At Red Barn Market, we take pride in providing our community with an enjoyable shopping experience. As an Assistant Front End Manager , you'll play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations at the front end of our store. You will assist in leading our Front End operations, including cashier management, customer service, interact with customers and ensuring smooth transactions at the checkout. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in retail grocery and a background in cash management. We are looking for an Assistant Front End Manager to join our team at our new Sandown location in North Saanich.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Assist in supervising cashiers, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.
• Cash Control: Manage cash registers, monitor transactions, and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure efficient and accurate cash handling procedures.
• Monitor checkout lines to minimize wait times for customers.
• Cash Handling: Count and manage cash, process credit card transactions, and Barn Bucks and provide change.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful service to shoppers. Scan items and bag groceries.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues,address concerns, and handle returns. Answer phone calls.
• Maintain a welcoming and clean Front End area.
• Create a positive shopping environment.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure the front end is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Bank Deposits: Prepare and handle bank deposits securely.
• Inventory Control: Manage front end supplies, including bags, receipt paper, and other essentials. Reorder as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous work in a retail or customer service environment. Previous cash management experience mandatory.
• Leadership Skills: Outstanding leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Cashier Experience : Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
• Customer-Centric: Friendly, approachable, and committed to exceptional service. Customer-focused mindset.
• Skills: Ability to handle high-pressure situations during peak hours. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability : Available days, evenings, and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
