Advance your career as a Water and Wastewater Facilities Operator with the City of North Bay, Ontario. This role focuses on the inspection and maintenance of essential water distribution and wastewater systems. As a vital team member reporting to the Sewer & Water Supervisor, you will ensure municipal systems operate efficiently. You must possess Class I Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment certifications with at least one year of experience, along with robust mechanical skills and SCADA proficiency.
Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of water systems
Maintain municipal wastewater collection systems
Provide guidance on safety regulations
Complete and file all necessary operational reports
Efficiently utilize SCADA and Hansen systems
Requirements Diploma in Environmental Technology or equivalent
Class I certifications for water and wastewater
Minimum one‑year certified operating experience
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Solid communication and reporting skills
