We are looking to hire a Mortgage Associate for our busy downtown office. Knowledge of the mortgage/real estate industry is a plus, but not required. We will provide training, and successful candidates may be able to progress to becoming a licenced mortgage agent.
This is a full-time, in office position where the successful candidate may be required to work evenings and weekends. Compensation will be competitive and our goal is to ensure that you continue to grow within the company and increase your knowledge of the mortgage industry. Bonuses are available.

Responsibilities
- Assist and initiate the client application process in order to facilitate a higher closing/inquiry ratio.
- Gather a full knowledge of the products offered along with a general knowledge of the Canadian mortgage landscape.
- Contact internet and telephone inquiries and complete a full application in readiness for submission to lenders.
- Take ownership of certain applications and spearhead the collection of all documentation most likely and actually conditioned by the lender.
- Take responsibility for answering pre and post commitment questions from applicants.
- Arrange and prepare for signing meetings for applicants.
- Assist in the audit of all complete files to ensure compliance with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) and Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC).
- Assist in ongoing and future marketing initiatives.
Experience & Skills
- Knowledge of the mortgage/real estate industry is a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience in customer service or sales is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Being self-motivated and proactive are essential for servicing our clients.

Pay: $48,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
