- Régler et réparer des systèmes conformément aux spécifications, aux dessins techniques, aux manuels et aux procédures établies
- Inspecter les travaux d'entretien effectués par les mécaniciens d'aéronefs
- Vérifier les systèmes structurels et mécaniques des aéronefs et s'assurer que ces systèmes satisfont aux normes de performance et de sécurité de Transports Canada et de la compagnie
- Réparer et réviser pour garantir le respect des normes et des procédures
- Dépanner des systèmes hydrauliques d'aéronefs
- Dépanner les systèmes mécaniques des aéronefs
- Dépanner les systèmes structuraux des aéronefs
- Réparer et réviser les systèmes structurels, mécaniques ou hydrauliques d'aéronefs
- Installer ou modifier des moteurs d'aéronefs ou d'autres systèmes d'aéronefs, comme des systèmes mécaniques et hydrauliques, des systèmes de contrôle de vol, des circuits de carburant et des systèmes pneumatiques
- Tenir des rapports détaillés concernant la réparation, le contrôle et la certification des aéronefs
- Démonter des cellules, des moteurs ou d'autres systèmes d'aéronefs pour les réparer, les remettre en état et les nettoyer, et les remonter
- Vérifier le travail des mécaniciens d'aéronefs chargés de modification des aéronefs ou des systèmes mécaniques d'aéronefs afin d'assurer le respect des normes et des procédures établies
- Effectuer l'entretien systématique et en faire le compte rendu
- Commander des pièces et des fournitures et en tenir l'inventaire
- Interpréter les bleus, les cahiers des charges, les normes et les instructions techniques écrites
