VCH Adult Protection Program Lead Nurse

Take initiative as the Adult Protection Lead with Vancouver Coastal Health at Lily Lee Community Health Centre in Vancouver, BC. This role emphasizes training nurses and advancing care standards in the ReAct Adult Protection Program. In this position, you will utilize your experience as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to drive educational initiatives while focusing on abuse and neglect in vulnerable adults. Your responsibilities will include developing policies, providing mentorship, and ensuring compliance with various legislative acts. Your leadership will contribute to patient safety and well-being across the health system. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead educational training for nursing staff in adult protection
- Provide clinical mentorship and consultations
- Evaluate learning outcomes from educational programs
- Advocate for vulnerable adults during care planning
- Develop tools that improve staff adherence to protocols
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse
- At least 5 years’ experience in related fields
- Familiarity with the Adult Guardianship Act and related policies
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle
- Completion of specialized education in adult protection
