Job Responsibility:
Senior Cost Accountant
Reporting directly to the CFO, responsible for developing precise cost calculations and templates for audit and business planning purposes. Work closely with the production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure inventory accuracy and support the company's financial reporting goals.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or seafood industry.
- CPA, CMA, or CGA designation, or actively working toward CPA certification.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
- Understanding of IT systems and data flows related to cost tracking.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in seafood processing, manufacturing, or fish plant operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
- A hands-on, team-oriented approach with a proactive mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inventory evaluations at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
- Maintain accurate records of supply inventory and ensure correct valuation.
- Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to streamline cost tracking.
- Perform frequent inventory counts to verify accuracy.
- Assist IT and company leadership in completing the inventory module in the ERP system.
- Provide financial reporting and cost analysis, primarily focused on inventory valuation.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
