Job Description

This role is responsible for providing advice and valuable financial solutions to complex Global Commercial Banking clients and prospects. Key responsibilities of the role include serving as the primary point of contact or trusted advisor and acquiring, deepening and maintaining profitable relationships. This role is also responsible for collaborating with teammates and leading/facilitating client relationships with Product Specialists. Job expectations include having knowledge of the bank's products and services in order to identify cross-selling opportunities and increase overall client satisfaction.

This position may be filled as a Sr. Relationship Manager or Relationship Manager, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manages an extensive portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billion and helps companies save, borrow, and invest for their current and future needs

  • Acquires, deepens and maintains profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting and enhancing existing relationships

  • Understands and interprets financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends

  • Collaborates with domestic and international teammates throughout the bank, including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange and Wealth Management and facilitates client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management and Merchant Services in order to design and deliver financial solutions to clients and prospects

  • Leads and facilitates dialogue with a variety of complex clients, prospects and centers of influence (accountants, lawyers, private equity firms, etc.) regarding topics such as the client and prospect industry, alternative capital structures and general business issues

  • Responsible for implementation and pursuit of a prospecting plan including the identification and assessment of prospects as well as conversion tactics and strategy

  • Coaches and mentors’ peers, while utilizing leadership skills

  • Passionate about serving as the bank’s brand ambassador in local community as well as representing the bank at various finance, trade and industry functions, conferences, and events

  • Embraces change and adapt to changes in sales practices and broader market/industry conditions as needed

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Commercial or Corporate Lending

  • Bilingual in English and French. As an international company with clients, employees, and contractors located around the world, English is required to work as a Sr. Relationship Manager with Bank of America’s internal and external stakeholders

  • Undergraduate degree required: Major in business, finance or economics preferred

  • Demonstrates an ability to build, manage, and grow an extensive portfolio of middle market clients with revenues up to $2 billion

  • Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships and closing profitable transactions

  • Professional proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution and follow up of client meetings

  • Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of clients and industry trends

  • Capable of organizing, facilitating, leading and negotiating with a team of bank colleagues to solve client problems

  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis required

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability

  • Experience and strong working knowledge of Capital Markets Solutions (DCM, ECM, Syndications, Lev Fin)

Desired Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree or designation preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to source deals/relationships in Quebec

  • Ability to develop business with COIs and C-Suite Executives

  • Product knowledge is valued (i.e. Global Cash Management, Equipment Financing, Risk Management, etc.)

Description du poste

Le ou la titulaire de ce poste se chargera de fournir des conseils et des solutions financières précieuses aux clients actuels et potentiels complexes des services bancaires commerciaux mondiaux. Les principales responsabilités du poste comprennent le rôle de point de contact principal ou de conseil de confiance, et l’acquisition, l’approfondissement et le maintien de relations fructueuses. Le ou la titulaire de ce poste se chargera également de collaborer avec les coéquipiers et de diriger et faciliter les relations avec les clients et les spécialistes des produits. Responsabilités

  • Gérer un vaste portefeuille de clients actuels et potentiels complexes avec des revenus annuels de 50 millions à 2 milliards de dollars ainsi qu’aider les entreprises à épargner, emprunter et à investir en fonction de leurs besoins actuels et futurs

  • Acquérir, approfondir et entretenir des relations fructueuses avec les clients grâce aux ventes, à la prospection et à l’amélioration des relations existantes

  • Comprendre et interpréter les états financiers et les flux de trésorerie pour évaluer et analyser les conditions financières des entreprises et les tendances du secteur

  • Collaborer avec les coéquipiers nationaux et internationaux de la banque, y compris les services bancaires d’investissement, les opérations de change et la gestion de patrimoine, et faciliter les relations avec les spécialistes des produits du crédit, de la gestion de trésorerie et des services aux commerçants afin de concevoir et de fournir des solutions financières aux clients actuels et potentiels

  • Diriger et faciliter le dialogue avec une variété de clients actuels et potentiels ainsi que des centres d’influence (comptables, avocats, sociétés de capital-investissements, etc.) complexes concernant des sujets tels que le secteur d’activité des clients actuels et potentiels, les structures de capital alternatives et les questions commerciales générales

  • Être responsable de la mise en œuvre et de la poursuite d’un plan de prospection, y compris l’identification et l’évaluation des clients potentiels, ainsi que les tactiques et la stratégie de conversion

  • Encadrer et faire du mentorat auprès des pairs, tout en utilisant les compétences en direction

  • S’engager dans la représentation de l’image de marque de la banque auprès des communautés locales et lors de diverses fonctions, conférences et événements du secteur, des finances et du commerce

  • Accueillir le changement et s’adapter aux changements des pratiques de vente et aux conditions plus générales d’un marché ou d’un secteur, au besoin

Qualifications

  • Au moins sept ans d’expérience en prêts commerciaux ou aux entreprises

  • Bilinguisme en anglais et en français. En tant qu’entreprise internationale pourvue de clients, d’employés et d’entrepreneurs situés dans le monde entier, l’anglais est requis pour travailler en tant que gestionnaire principale des relations avec les parties prenantes internes et externes de Bank of America

  • Diplôme de premier cycle requis : Maîtrise en affaires, en finances ou en économie, souhaitée

  • Démontrer une capacité à construire, gérer et développer un portefeuille étendu de clients du marché intermédiaire avec des revenus allant jusqu’à 2 milliards de dollars

  • Expérience avérée dans les domaines de la prospection de nouvelles affaires, l’amélioration des relations existantes et la conclusion de transactions fructueuses

  • Compétences et expérience professionnelles éprouvées en vente, y compris la planification, l’exécution et le suivi des réunions avec les clients

  • Capacité d’évaluer et d’analyser les conditions financières des clients et les tendances de secteur

  • Capacité d’organiser, de faciliter, de diriger et de négocier avec une équipe de collègues de la banque pour résoudre les problèmes des clients

  • Capacité de comprendre et d’interpréter les états financiers et l’analyse des flux de trésorerie

  • Aptitudes remarquables en communication verbale et écrite, et capacité reconnue de direction

  • Expérience et solide connaissance pratique des solutions pour les marchés financiers (DCM, ECM, Syndications, Lev Fin)
