AdRise Staff Engineer: Backend Systems

Transform advertising impact at AdRise as a Staff Backend Engineer. Your expertise will drive scalable services that enhance ad delivery efficiency across platforms. In this influential position, you'll utilize your skills to design and manage distributed backend services, predominantly employing Scala. You'll interface with teams across Machine Learning and Data Science to evolve our algorithms continuously, while fostering collaboration for key initiatives aimed at performance enhancement. You'll set the pace for technical practices, ensuring effective operations and high standards in software delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and evolve high-throughput distributed systems for ads
- Define the technical roadmap balancing immediate needs with scalability
- Develop APIs alongside a focus on observability
- Initiate improvements through collaboration with data teams
- Guide junior engineers through code and design reviews
- Significant experience in designing distributed systems
- Expertise in relational databases and messaging platforms
- Proficient with Akka technologies in production
- Knowledge of big data or streaming frameworks
- Demonstrated technical leadership in cross-team projects
