Director of Data Consulting – CRM/Martech

As Senior Director, Analytics & Consulting, you will lead major client engagements and shape data strategy across CRM, first‑party data, measurement and advanced analytics. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations that drive revenue growth and better customer experiences.
What you will do
- Own the analytics agenda for client relationships, aligning work to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Advise senior stakeholders using data‑driven insights across analytics, BI, data science, CRM, audience strategy, testing and optimisation.
- Translate complex signals and technical concepts into clear recommendations for clients, partners and internal leaders.
- Shape strategic roadmaps for CRM analytics, first‑party data, measurement, audience planning, personalisation and customer intelligence.
- Assess data landscapes, business requirements and operating constraints to identify practical improvement opportunities.
- Partner with technology and enablement teams to deliver scalable, executable solutions.
- Provide hands‑on support as needed to complete deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
- Build and lead a high‑performing analytics team, mentoring globally distributed resources.
- Define KPIs, dashboards, reporting structures and testing approaches, including holdouts, control groups and incrementality.
- Apply advanced analytics, AI and automation to forecasting, personalisation, optimisation and scalable reporting.
Who you are
- Senior analytics leader, strategic, consulting and client‑focused.
- Strong executive communication skills – clear written, verbal and presentation capabilities.
- Experience driving matrixed, cross‑functional influence.
- Proven ability to develop practical, executable solutions for complex data landscapes.
- Hands‑on technical expertise in SQL, Python, R, BigQuery, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Adobe or comparable platforms.
Required experience and skills
- 15+ years in analytics, with significant leadership and consultative experience.
- Deep knowledge of CRM, first‑party data, customer analytics, marketing measurement, audience strategy, insights and BI.
- Proven expertise in designing measurement frameworks, KPI definitions, testing, attribution, dashboards and optimisation models.
- Familiarity with modern martech ecosystems – CDPs, decisioning, identity, marketing automation or cloud ecosystems.
- Ability to travel 50%+ of the time and be onsite as required.
Preferred experience
- Experience in automotive or another data‑rich consumer category.
- Local to the Detroit metro area or willing to travel within a 2‑hour flight to Detroit.
