Pathology Specialist - St. Joseph's Healthcare

St. Joseph's Healthcare is seeking an experienced Pathologist Assistant. This temporary position requires a Master of Clinical Science and a minimum of 5 years of proficiency in dissection and autopsy skills. You will conduct tissue examinations that inform clinical decision-making and collaborate with experts in pathology for enhanced patient care outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed gross examinations on surgical tissues
- Review and interpret complex pathology data
- Assist in postmortem assessments for cause of death
- Prepare specimens for thorough histopathologic analysis
- Contribute to quality assurance and research initiatives
- Master of Clinical Science in Pathologists' Assistant
- Minimum 5 years in related dissection techniques
- Understanding of CAP staging in cancer
- Expertise in health information systems and dictation
- Strong communication skills for effective reporting
