Labour Relations Officer in Regina

Become a Labour Relations Officer with SGEU in Regina, a full-time term position up to 24 months. Use your expertise in advocacy and conflict resolution to support union members. SGEU is seeking two Labour Relations Officers to provide critical labour relations services for over 20,000 members across Saskatchewan. Aiming for a collaborative work environment, the ideal candidate brings extensive experience with collective agreements, legal statutes, and member advocacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is required to assist in various office tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and implement collective agreements and legal statutes
- Guide collective bargaining and dispute resolution processes
- Analyze legislation and labour movement trends
- Train union members through workshops and events
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Post-secondary education in social services or industrial relations
- Extensive experience in advocacy or leadership roles
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with arbitration and Labour Relations Board processes
- Ability to research and solve complex workplace issues
