Job Title : Warehouse - Shipper/Receiver
Location: Toronto, ON (North York, ON)
Shift/Hours: Monday- Friday8 am
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr.
We are working with a client located in Toronto in the Dufferin St & Lawrence Ave area and looking to add to our pool of candidates. This company is a leading wholesaler & distributor of Plumbing & Heating products, providing quality customer service and knowledge throughout the GTA.
Job Duties:
- Receive, pick, pack, label, and ship products to customers.
- Memorize and keep track of product locations.
- Operate industrial-powered equipment (forklift, pump trucks).
- Restock and replenish bins as necessary.
- Accurately prepare pallet loads and provide quality control of the products.
- Maintain the work area cleanliness, organization and safety of the warehouse.
- Check the goods for quality in the shipping & receiving areas.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies & procedures.
- Fill in other positions if needed.
- Complete all administrative tasks for the department.
Requirements
- Able to lift packages up between 40lbs to 50lbs.
- Able to lift/carry/move or arrange boxes while standing, stooping, or kneeling. The product can vary in size from pipes, toilets, bathtubs, etc.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Great attitude and strong work ethic.
- Forklift experience & certificate to operate counterbalance and reach certificate an asset but not required. The company will train if needed.
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role.
