I am currently looking for an Accounts Payable Technician for one of my clients, a fast-growing company in the software industry. This is a temporary position located in downtown Montreal (Peel metro station), offering a hybrid work schedule with four days remote and one day on-site per week.

Your Role


Reporting to the centralized Accounts Payable team, you will support vendor management activities across all entities within the organization. You will work in a collaborative, technology-driven, and fast-paced environment where continuous improvement and process automation play a key role.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the full accounts payable cycle.
Receive, review, and process vendor invoices.
Enter invoices into the ERP system.
Prepare payment batches and ensure payments are processed according to established deadlines.
Follow up on payments with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with various departments to obtain the required approvals.
Maintain and monitor payment schedules and tracking reports using Google Sheets.
Participate in month-end closing activities and prepare journal entries when required.
Contribute to the optimization and automation of accounts payable processes.
Assist with various projects and other related responsibilities within the Finance team.
Approximate Volume
Approximately 300 invoices per month.

Candidate Profile


Education
DEP, AEC, or DEC in Accounting.


Experience
1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience managing the full accounts payable cycle.
Experience in a technology-driven or high-growth environment is considered an asset.


Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables.
Good knowledge of Google Sheets.
Experience working with an accounting ERP system, ideally NetSuite.
Comfortable using technology and working in digital environments.

Strong organizational skills and high level of accuracy.
Structured and methodical approach to work.
Curious mindset and willingness to learn.
