Join AXA XL as the Underwriting Manager responsible for Construction and Energy accounts throughout Canada. This vital position requires a focus on profitable underwriting and team leadership. In this role, you will guide the underwriting team's efforts, set strategic direction, and manage all facets of the underwriting process. Your responsibilities will include working collaboratively with other teams to ensure compliance and the delivery of outstanding service while helping to develop the business in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities:
- Direct underwriting activities for new business and renewals
- Manage and grow the Construction and Energy underwriting team
- Develop and control budgets while ensuring compliance
- Handle complex accounts with advanced underwriting expertise
- Collaborate with various departments for effective service
- Strong grasp of the Canadian insurance market and underwriting
- Ability to lead teams in providing exceptional customer service
- Extensive experience in Construction and Energy underwriting
- Proven negotiation and relationship-building capabilities
- Bachelor’s Degree alongside relevant professional designations
