Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:

• Commitment to Catholic Education
• Identification with and participation in the life of a Catholic parish
• Have an understanding of the Early Learning Framework of BC
• Ability to support students with exceptional needs through differentiated instruction
• Ability to foster positive relationships with children and families, colleagues, and administration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to use discretion when dealing with confidential matters

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following Inclusive Education duties:

• Lead a team of EAs
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school administration to support students
• Organize school based team meetings as required
• Writing and maintaining IEPs and accommodation checklists for IE students
• Coordinate outside services (SLP, BIT, diagnostic testing)
• Coordinate parent meetings as required and/or requested
• Other duties as assignment by the school's administration

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following literacy duties:

• Coordinate K-9 literacy screeners
• Submit student literacy assessment scores
• Attend CISND literacy meetings
• Other duties as assigned by the school's administration

Catholic applicants must provide: 

• Certificate of Catholic baptism, or RCIA Certificate
• Certificate of Catholic marriage, if applicable
• CISND Pastoral Reference form

• Photocopy of Canadian Birth Certificate or Canadian Passport (documentation to indicate you are legally entitled to work in Canada)
