Planificateur(trice) / Planner (Saguenay)

Your role within the team

• Ensure compliance with corporate planning rules and procedures.
• Ensure that project instructions are developed and maintained, and that planning development and monitoring best practices are followed.
• Ensure that all planning tools and systems work well and meet project needs and reporting expectations.
• Prepare the entire Master Project Schedule based on the WBS project structure.
• Collaborate with Project and Construction Managers to establish detailed schedules for each area.
• Work with the Commercial and Procurement teams to provide the schedules required to produce bid and sub‑bid management reports.
• Coordinate the review of schedules and progress reports submitted by subcontractors and suppliers.
• Be responsible for issuing weekly and monthly reports of physical and quantitative construction progress, based on Earned Value Methods (EVM).
• Be responsible for reporting any deviations from the initial planning and provide practical recommendations for the implementation of appropriate corrective measures.

Qualifications for the position

• A university degree in engineering or related field (an asset).
• At least 5 years relevant experience, including 3 in a similar position.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and relevant experience in infrastructure projects (industrial).
• Experience on major EPCM and EPC projects an asset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability and openness to manage various files at the same time (versatility, resourcefulness and ability to manage priorities).
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, managers, subcontractors, suppliers and the customer.
• Knowledge of Primavera is a must.
• Written and spoken bilingualism is a considerable asset.
