BANQUET MANAGER

The challenges that await you :

The Banquet Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all aspects related to events and banquets held at Entourage sur-le-Lac. They oversee the teams, ensure client satisfaction, and ensure that operations run smoothly, in accordance with the hotel’s quality standards.

Responsibilities :

• Planning and coordination : Collaborate with clients, the sales department, and other departments to organize banquets and events that meet the establishment's expectations and requirements;

• Operations management : Oversee setups, service, and logistics during events while ensuring deadlines and standards are met;

• Team leadership : Train, direct, and motivate the banquet team and runners to ensure impeccable service;

• Client relations : Interact with clients before, during, and after the event to ensure their satisfaction and adjust operations accordingly;

• Quality assurance : Maintain the hotel’s high-quality standards in terms of service, presentation, and customer satisfaction;

• Problem resolution : Effectively manage unforeseen incidents and client complaints by proposing quick and appropriate solutions;

• Staff management : Manage schedules, leave, performance evaluations, and ongoing training;

• Inventory management  : Ordering supplies, conducting inventories, and budgeting for equipment purchases.

Required Skills :

• Excellent organizational and time management skills;

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer service;

• Experience in team management;

• Knowledge of catering practices and food safety standards.

Qualifications :

• Degree in hotel management, event planning, or a related field (an asset);

• Relevant experience in managing banquets or events in a hotel or similar setting;

• Bilingualism (French and English) required due to the need to communicate regularly with an English-speaking and international clientele who do not speak French.
