Front Desk Agent (Need to have a car)

Job Responsibility:
You must own a vehicle to commute to the Inn as we are not on any bus route .
Reports to the Front Desk Manager.
The Front Desk Agent is usually the first and last contact for anyone staying at the Inn. As such the role is vital in determining what impression the guest will leave with after their stay.
Responsibilities:
- Register arriving guests and assign rooms
- Process group arrivals and departures
- Take, cancel and change room reservations
- Process telephone calls
- Provide general information about points of interest in the area
- Investigate and resolve complaints and claims
- Exchange foreign currency
- Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
- Customer service oriented
- Follow emergency and safety procedures
- Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying), keyboarding
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning
- Perform other related duties as directed
- Assist with serving breakfast when required
Qualifications:
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Experience an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have personal and reliable transportation and a license as the Inn is not on any bus route
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 21 - 24 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
