Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Supervisor to join our team at MHI RJ Aviation. The role requires an intelligent, curious professional who enjoys tackling challenges and solving problems to improve people’s lives. The candidate will collaborate with a flexible, dynamic, and tight‑knit team while supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, lead and control all aspects of procurement activities.
• Prioritize, assign and coordinate workloads within the area and among assigned employees in a multi‑project environment.
• Act as a team lead for procurement agents, providing mentoring, coaching and managerial support.
• Use various software tools such as Word, Excel and others for transactions and business correspondence.
• Communicate effectively, provide updates, and facilitate discussions with all levels of management.
• Negotiate and manage sales activities to meet internal and external customer needs.
• Find solutions and provide support for aircraft return‑to‑service or resolve procurement‑related issues to meet customer expectations.
• Align daily operations with MHI RJ Aviation’s strategic priorities while upholding company values and leadership competencies.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of team supervision experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in English required for regular communication with colleagues, clients or partners outside Quebec.
• Experience in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of SAP applications is a significant asset.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email and web applications.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft types.
• Basic understanding of accounting and budgeting principles, enabling reading and interpreting income statements and financial reports.
• Practical knowledge of aviation requirements and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse range of personnel, departments, clients, suppliers and managers.
