Sr. AV Programmer

Come join our awesome team as an Sr. AV Programmer and be a part of our story!  The Senior Audiovisual Programmer role will require the candidate to provide programs and configurations for new and existing AV systems. This is a hybrid position that will be based out of our Markham, Ontario location. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  Pre-sales support - Assist with the selection of control systems for designers and sales team.


• 
  Provide programming time estimates for sales team.


• 
  Pre-programming – Build a base program based on bill of materials, drawings and scope of work. Work with Sales Account Managers to establish customer needs and expectations for system function and GUI design.


• On-site programming - Load, test and commission systems at client sites.


• 
  Remote programming – Assist Installers/Technicians in loading, testing the program and performing modifications.


• 
  Configuration of supporting equipment and system configuration tasks which may include network switch configuration, building IP tables, working with client IT individuals to establish network requirements.


• Meet with clients when required for general GUI design and system operation expectations


• 
  Service calls - complete service tickets which may include remote or on-site troubleshooting related to programming


• 
  Maintain communications with Scheduler, Installation Managers and Account Managers on status of project and task lists.


• 
  Willing to work overtime as needed (time in lieu) to meet promises to clients.


• 
  Willing to work out of town, as overnight travel will be required from time to time.

  Skills and Abilities:

• 
  Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines.


• 
  Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.


• 
  Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities.


• 
  Must be organized and detail oriented.

Education and/or Experience:

• 
  Minimum of 4 years of audiovisual integration experience. 


• 
  Certifications in Crestron/Extron/AMX/QSC programming required.


• 
  Post-secondary education in Electronics, Computer Science, Networking or a relevant field is preferred.


• 
  AVIXA CTS or CTS-I Certification.


• 
  Other Industry recognized training: Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Dante, CompTIA.
