Research Analyst / Business Systems Analyst
About The Role
Our client is a global analtyics leader who is looking for a Research Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to join their team dedicated to supporting external clients with strategic consumer insights and industry benchmarks in North American wealth management.
In this role, you will support the operation, analysis, delivery, and strategy of our proprietary products—with a specific focus on our firm-level Wealth Management performance diagnostics and our consumer survey of investors across the US and Canada. You will collaborate directly with external client executives to collect data, assess performance, and deliver impactful insights regarding their competitive positioning.
Over time, you will grow to take ownership of this product’s strategy—understanding market positioning, maximizing value for clients, and driving innovation. This role is ideal for a professional with a consulting mindset who is highly comfortable with data diagnostics but equally exceptional at executive-level storytelling and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Quality Assurance: Manage complex datasets, refine data, conduct primary research, and produce performance benchmarks.
- Client Interaction & Insight Delivery: Translate data into compelling narratives and directly present competitive insights to client executives.
- Product Strategy: Help drive the long-term vision of our proprietary diagnostics, identifying opportunities to innovate and maximize market value.
- Project Management: Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality delivery within a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of data analysis or business systems analysis experience, ideally within banking, financial services, or management consulting. Strong preference given to candidates with wealth management strategy experience.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced expertise in Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience with data refinement and VBA is a strong asset. (Note: Deep technical ETL, SQL, or Python skills are not required; the focus is on strategic analysis and presentation).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong "executive presence" and the ability to defend data-driven insights in front of leadership.
- Education: An applicable University Degree.
