This Release Management position is a Technical Analyst II position and is a member of the Cross Application Monitoring and Support Application Operations team. This position supports Release Management for Connect Care covering upgrades, special updates, as well as related processes, planning, coordinating, and execution that fall within responsibility of Cross Applications Monitoring and Support. You will be comfortable in a Release Management and technical role to maintain Connect Care but will also be able to provide support to the clients we serve. This challenging opportunity will be fast-paced and requires coordination with IT professionals across multiple domains throughout the province.

Description:

As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.

Prefer graduate of a recognized degree program in information technology, information sciences, or related discipline. Minimum educational requirement is diploma in information technology, information sciences, or a related discipline. Must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in healthcare information technology or organization of significant size. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Experience with Release Management in enterprise application environment required. Project Management, Agile Scrum experience preferred. Experience with Epic Systems preferred. Advanced experience in release management, process improvements, planning, and projects, including leading and documenting. Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills. Strong customer service commitment. Ability to gain cooperation of a variety of stakeholders, including management, clinicians, physicians, and co-workers. Ability to set and meet personal deadlines and adapt to changes in priority. Ability to work in a team environment; experience in coordinating teams. Ability to write technical and procedural documentation. Proven advanced experience in MS Excel, MS Word, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office365 usage within a planning/collaborative environment. Equivalencies of education and experience may also be considered.

This position is required to configure the Epic platform. Qualifying applicants, who do not currently have Epic status or have not already passed the aptitude test will be required to pass an aptitude test designed by Epic as part of the recruitment process.
