Pest Management and Life Skills Educator

Become a Pest Management and Life Skills Educator with Neighbours Community Homes, focusing on hoarding and clutter reduction. This hands-on role engages directly with tenants in an in-person capacity. Reporting to the Housing Support Manager, your role encompasses both pest management and tenant education. You will assist tenants in learning to maintain a pest-free living environment, focusing on skills such as sorting, cleaning, and decluttering. Your previous experience will be invaluable in guiding marginalized residents towards achieving self-sufficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Help tenants maintain a clean and pest-free unit
- Educate on proper pest control and cleaning techniques
- Identify issues related to hoarding and clutter
- Collaborate with staff to improve tenants’ living conditions
- Provide practical assistance in daily cleaning tasks
- Licensed Structural Pesticide Exterminator preferred
- Degree in Community Development or Social Work
- Minimum 3 years in pest management and hoarding
- Experience with marginalized populations and mental health
- Passing police record check required
