Scope
Park Facility Operations is seeking temporary full-time team members to support our active, energetic, and fast-paced work environment within the Parks Facility Operations team. These temporary positions will run approximately from Summer 2026 to Fall 2026 and will require a 40-hour work week, which includes weekends and statutory holidays.
Responsibilities
Among other general labourer duties, perform manual and semi-skilled cleaning tasks within City parks washrooms including:
- Cleaning and mopping floors.
- Cleaning wall surfaces.
- Cleaning toilets and sinks.
- Applying various cleaning solutions as directed.
- Litter pickup.
- Refuse removal.
- Demonstrate safe work practices.
- Able to work alone for extended periods.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork skills and communicates effectively, especially when interacting with the public.
- Able to complete required duties in varying facility conditions, demonstrating sufficient physical strength, stamina, and coordination.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Have a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- Have relevant experience performing manual labour.
- Be able to complete work in a variety of site conditions.
- Related cleaning and maintenance experience are considered assets.

Conditions of Employment
This position requires completion of a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
