Location: Hybrid - Toronto, Canada | Experience: 5 to 10 Years | Rate: 60 to 65 CAD PH
Role Summary
Near Source is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to drive data‑driven decision‑making for enterprise‑scale platforms. The role involves advanced analytics, scalable data processing, and business intelligence development in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end‑to‑end data analysis to support strategic business decisions
- Design and execute scalable data processing workflows using PySpark and SQL
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI and Looker
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and data models
- Perform deep‑dive analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver data‑driven product enhancements
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems
- Independently lead analytics initiatives with minimal supervision
Must‑Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis roles
- Proficient in Python, PySpark, and Snowflake SQL
- Strong expertise in BI tools, including Power BI and Looker
- Solid understanding of databases and query optimization (Hive, Snowflake, Presto)
- Proven ability to solve complex problems using data‑driven approaches
- Strong communication skills for requirement gathering and stakeholder alignment
- Experience translating business needs into analytical solutions
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience with data mining techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning
- Hands‑on experience debugging and analyzing data using Spark or PySpark
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
- Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, matrixed environments
