Job Responsibility:
Our company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Shipping Lead Hand for a current vacant positon. If you are looking for an exciting place to work, Please take the time to review the list of qualifications below:

Warehouse experience in a similar role with proven abilities to lead a small team
Working knowledge with practical experience in a lean environment
People management experience, comfortable working with hourly employees; analytical with an action orientation mindset
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize
Excellent organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Responsibilities:
Provide direction and support to other members of the team when needed and can step in for the supervisor when required.
Lead, train, and motivate team members to achieve team goals.
Maintain time and shipping records.
Assists in adjusting work procedures to meet shipping schedules and maintaining optimum process flow in the department.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Enforces a behavioural-based safety culture - safety as a personal priority, observation, positive reinforcement, etc.
Responsible for reporting daily shift progress status and personnel issues to supervisor
Comfortable within a fast-paced work environment and adhere to high-quality standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
2+ hours daily in an office environment processing data and other administrative tasks
2+ hours daily operating fork trucks and cranes
Assist with production staff to complete general labour tasks
Frequently working both indoors and outdoors throughout the day
Requirements:
Highschool diploma or equivalent and or relevant work experience required
1-3 years of fast-paced shipping experience required
1-3 years of supervisor or team lead experience required
Ability to lift up to 50lbs comfortably required
Experience in glass manufacturing is an asset
Production/manufacturing experience is an asset
Forklift experience preferred
Experience with cranes or lift assist preferred
