Communications Advisor for Canada-Ethiopia Trade

Take on an impactful role as a Communications Advisor with the Canada Chamber of Commerce in Ethiopia, starting in August 2026. This volunteer position focuses on advancing trade relationships through advocacy and strategic communications. You will collaborate with a dynamic team in Addis Ababa, working for three months to enhance the visibility of the Ethiopia-Canada business corridor. Your essential role will aid in crafting communications strategies, designing presentations, and monitoring trade policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft comprehensive policy briefs and white papers
- Create digital success stories of Ethiopian businesses
- Organize virtual networking events with stakeholders
- Oversee a monthly newsletter with strategic insights
- Utilize analytics to assess advocacy initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations or similar
- 3 to 5 years experience in communications or advocacy roles
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of social media management platforms
- Understanding of AfCFTA and Canada’s economic strategies
