Expected Start Date: September 15, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Addictions Treatment Centre - Regina City/Town: Regina Department: Addiction Serv Res Care Unit&Trtmt Facil-Brief & Social Detox Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: January 31, 2028 FTE: 0.71 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends and Stats Number of Hours per Rotation: 80 hours per 3 weeks; 8 hours shift Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Diploma $29.584 to $36.176 Travel Required: No Job : As a member of the Adult services team and under the general direction of the Manager, the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help for addiction and/or addiction related issues through the implementation of addiction recovery programs. Addiction best practices will be utilized to improve client outcomes. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Chemical Dependency diploma

- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge of community resources in the addictions field.
- Accurately triage addiction(s), collectively develop a recovery and case plan.
- Knowledge in Transtheoretical model of change
- Knowledge in holistic addictions treatment model
- Knowledge of therapeutic tools such as Motivational Interviewing and CBT.
- Ability to deliver workshops and lecture material to clients.
- Knowledge in group dynamics
- Knowledge in best practices in addictions and harm reduction strategies
