Expected Start Date: To Be Determined, Posted until Filled Union: HSAS Facility: Mental Health and Addictions City/Town: Regina Department: Mental Health Clinic Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 8 hour shifts Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Psychologist - PhD $56.568 to $69.012 Travel Required: No Job :Under the direction of a Program Manager and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Psychologist PhD provides a complex range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population. The incumbent provides program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. As a practitioner, acts as a resource for other professionals for mental health and addiction in the community.
Human Resources Exemption: No Education
- PhD in Clinical Psychology
Experience
- One year (post-doctorate) recognized experience in working within community mental health and addiction services.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of a variety of mental health disorders and interventions; addiction and harm reduction strategies required to enable clients to sustain stability.
- Knowledge of and ability to select, administer, and interpret a comprehensive range of psychological tests; ability to utilize computerized assessment and interpretation software packages.
- Broad knowledge of community resources including treatment programs and support agencies is essential.
