The company is seeking an experienced Regional Human Resources Business Partner to provide strategic and operational HR support across its North American business. Your New Role

As the Regional Human Resources Business Partner, you will support all aspects of Human Resources across the company’s Canadian and U.S. office and field operations. This role combines strategic HR partnership with hands-on administration and requires someone who can effectively balance day-to-day HR responsibilities with the development and execution of broader people strategies.

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will partner with regional and country leadership, provide guidance on complex employee matters, support regional talent initiatives, and ensure compliance with applicable Canadian and U.S. employment legislation. You will also administer employee health and welfare plans and act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.

What You Need to Do

• Partner with regional and country management teams to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business and operational priorities.
• Provide day-to-day support and guidance to employees, field crews, management, and HR team members on complex, specialized, and sensitive HR matters.
• Support regional talent strategies related to recruitment, retention, workforce planning, onboarding, and current and future talent requirements.
• Assist with temporary international assignments, visa processes, regional outsourcing, and other cross-border staffing requirements.
• Develop and implement regional and country-specific HR programs, policies, procedures, and controls aligned with business needs.
• Manage employee onboarding at all organizational levels.
• Coach, train, and provide guidance to HR team members, managers, supervisors, and employees supporting HR initiatives.
• Support HR operations in locations with limited or no dedicated HR resources.
• Maintain compliance with applicable Canadian employment standards and U.S. employment and benefits requirements.
• Monitor employment legislation, regulatory developments, HR best practices, talent management trends, and emerging HR technologies.
• Review regional HR controls, identify areas of risk, and recommend improvements to maintain compliance.
• Administer employee health and welfare plans, including enrolments, changes, and terminations.
• Provide employees with guidance regarding benefit plans, claims, and available options.
• Resolve benefits-related discrepancies and act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.
• Reconcile benefits statements and maintain accurate benefits and premium renewal information in ADP Workforce Now.
• Assist with annual benefit renewals and open enrolment.
• Analyze benefits utilization and recommend improvements to support cost management and employee satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
• Provide backup assistance to other HR team members and contribute to routine HR administrative responsibilities as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• A post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or another relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of professional development and experience.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. HR practices, employment legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting HR operations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of international employment-related legislation and practices.
• Experience partnering with operational and senior leadership teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• The ability to work independently and complete both complex HR projects and detailed administrative tasks.
• The ability to exercise sound judgment when managing confidential, complex, or sensitive matters.
• A self-motivated, adaptable, service-oriented, and hands-on approach.
• Experience with benefits administration and ADP Workforce Now would be an asset.
• Spanish language skills would be considered an asset.
