- Superviser des assistants dentaires dans la prestation des soins de santé
- Former d'autres assistants de laboratoire dentaire
- Couler l'or ou des alliages de métaux pour les bridges et les bases de prothèses
- Commander les fournitures dentaires et les fournitures de bureau
- Effectuer des fonctions administratives pour le laboratoire dentaire
- Préparer les instruments et le mélange nécessaire aux obturations
- Tenir à jour l'inventaire des fournitures et en commander
- Mouler de la cire sur les plaques-bases de prothèses
- Accomplir des tâches de bureau et de réceptionniste
- Renseigner le patient au sujet de l'hygiène dentaire
- Terminer la monture de métal des prothèses dentaires
- Superviser les étudiants en formation
- Polir les dents et les couronnes et appliquer du fluorure et un scellant
- Préparer la cire d'occlusion et les porte-empreintes
- Fixer et confirmer des rendez-vous
- Tamponner des matières plastiques dans les moules afin de former des prothèses
- Effectuer des tâches intra-buccales
- Prendre et développer les radiographies
- Fabriquer des bagues orthodontiques en métal ou autres matériaux
- Consigner des renseignements sur les soins dispensés aux patients
- Établir les factures pour les services dentaires
- Polir les prothèses
- Fabriquer et insérer des couronnes et des restaurations provisoires
- Prendre les impressions préliminaires des moulages diagnostiques
